Alexia Lewis is a performance and video artist who explores the sacred and the absurd while using the principles of conceptualism to tell uncomfortable truths. Her approach to art making continues to be heavily influenced by her education in photography and animation at the University of Southern California’s art and cinema schools, respectively. In recent years, she has sought to infuse her performance work with more emotion and subsequently began to study the Meisner acting technique to create a “visual body language” imbued with spirituality.
